The Brunson League was founded by Morgan State graduate Sean Brunson in the fall of 2013. Mr. Brunson created the league with the vision of having a basketball league for young men in the state of Maryland to continue to play basketball at a high level after completing high school or college (and for players still in college) while still building friendships and learning life lessons through basketball. The ultimate goal is to have the league become a fixture in Baltimore City creating unity in the community through the power of sports for both its players and supporters.
The Brunson's League goal is to provide its athletes with a completely unique experience never seen before in community sports leagues and only rivaled by professional sports leagues. The league aspires to continue growing until it is mentioned with the likes of the legendary Drew League in Los Angeles and the Goodman League in Washington, DC attracting the toughest mixture of competition featuring streetball legends, collegiate athletes, and professional ball players.
The following are the league details for the summer:
League Type: Men's 18 and up
League Length: 8 regular season games followed by playoffs and All-Star game
Game Day & Times: All games will be played on Sunday's between 12:00pm & 9:00pm
Start Date: 5/29/2016
End Date: 8/21/2016
Team Registration Fee: $350.00 (due 4/30/2015)
Team Uniform Fee: $30.00 per player (due 4/23/2015)
Other Fees: $35 ref fee plus a $5 table fee before the start of each game.
Team and Player stats for every game will be updated weekly
