#2 SPACE JAM defeats #6 RAMS 76-59 to Advance to Championship Game

The #2 seed Space Jam has advanced to Championship Sunday with their victory over the Rams in a game that was a lot closer than the final score shows. Both teams exchanged baskets and stops evenly in the 1st half. Jemuel Brown led Space jam with 10 points at the break and Andre Collins led the balanced attack of the Rams with 6 points, Space Jam would enter halftime with a 30-27 lead. The Rams were shooting for the 2nd upset in a row after already knocking off the #3 seed Bears the previous week with a 75-56 win.
Andre Collins would continue his stellar play scoring 10 of his 16 points in the 2nd half and Seth Wassel stepped up to make a huge contribution as well scoring 11 of his 15 in the 2nd half, but the rest of the team including All-Star Sean Sanders struggled. Sanders finished the game shooting 4 for 10 from the field including 2 of 6 from deep and it proved to be too much for the Rams to overcome. With about 10 minutes left to play in the game the heavily favored Space Jam team started to assert their dominance on both sides of the ball. Team leaders Derek Jackson and Alex Jackson came alive and took the game over as Space Jam gained a firm hold on the lead and never looked back. Derek Jackson scored 11 of his 14 points in the second half, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 6 assists. MVP front-runner Alex Jackson scored 13 of his 20 points in the second half, dished out 5 assists, and came away with a remarkable 7 steals. Space Jam looks to finish their season and be crowned champions on Sunday Night. The full box score from the game is pictured below.
